Zola Predosa
Villa Edvige Garagnani

Built in the second half of the 18th century, Villa Edvige Garagnani, represents one of the most significant environmental and architectural elements of Zola Predosa.

The villa is located on what was originally an agricultural property called Delle Donzelle “Of the Damsels”, belonging to the Olivetan monks of San Michele di Bosco.

Following the period of Napoleonic suppression, the estate was bought by the Pancaldi family.

The present villa, with an unknown construction date, incorporated an already existing building.

The loggia is decorated with beautiful frescoes that use trompe l’oeil motifs depicting woodland scenes, which are attributed to an artist of the school of Antonio Basoli.
